Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Lead to join our Real Estate Finance sector. As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of Directors of Financing Solutions and Senior Analysts in the Multi-Unit sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coach a team of Financing Solutions Directors (FSDs) and Senior Analysts (SAs) to promote financing solutions in the UDI team's files.
  • Monitor the evolution of team members and the development of their skills through personalized coaching.
  • Aim to optimize the efficiency, productivity, and profitability of the sector through the implementation of optimal risk management strategies.
  • Provide support for large-scale and complex files in the Multi-Unit Sector.
  • Establish a strategy with partners to maximize impact in the market and improve visibility of the sector.
  • Participate in the development of the annual strategic plan of the DFS and SAs and manage its execution.
  • Develop and maintain a long-term relationship with account managers of the UDI team through various customer acquisition and retention activities.
  • Act as an ambassador for the Bank in the local community and foster relationships with key partners.
  • Balance risk management and profitability in business development.
  • Ensure compliance and enforcement of compliance rules and operational procedures.
  • Be proactive in identifying new ways of doing things, promoting continuous improvement, and the use of new tools.

About the Team:

You will be a team leader of 9 Financing Solutions Directors and 3 Senior Analysts, reporting to the Associate Vice-President, Portfolio Management Team – Real Estate Finance Canada. Our team is known for its dynamism and expertise in real estate financing.

Requirements:

  • Industry-related bachelor's degree and 7 years of relevant experience or Master's degree and 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in personnel management and/or coaching.
  • Solid experience in real estate loans, Multi-Housing sector, both for construction and term files.
  • Good knowledge of the various banking systems.
  • Good ability to influence, lead, and manage priorities.
  • Autonomy, organization, and change management.
