About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Solutions Analyst to join our team at Onico Solutions. As a Senior Business Solutions Analyst, you will play a key role in delivering new and evolutionary digital loyalty solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Analysis: Work alongside business and development partners to deliver solutions for internal and external customer-facing applications using an Agile framework.
  • Requirements Planning: Develop, communicate, and implement plans for defining requirements complete with timelines, approach, stakeholders, and deliverables.
  • Requirements Gathering: Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with multiple stakeholders to extract requirements using best practice methods and tools.
  • Business Partnership: Form a partnership with business teams to deeply understand their business in order to enable the capture of clear, concise, and correct business requirements.
  • Business-IT Alignment: Bridge the gap between business and IT, ensuring common understanding and IT/Business alignment of both functional (for business needs) and non-functional requirements (quality attributes, scalability, interfaces, constraints, etc.).
  • Requirements Communication: Convey business requirements and design concepts with models such as gap analysis, use cases, prototypes, etc. as appropriate.
  • User Story Development: Responsible for creating, refining, and maintaining user stories and associated deliverables – process flows, test cases, etc. – to meet development and stakeholder needs.
  • Project Management Support: Provide project management support using approved project management processes, tools, and techniques.
  • UAT Support: Provide UAT support to business using test cases based off user stories.
  • Team Collaboration: Contribute to a collaborative team environment by information sharing and team cooperation.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Business Analyst role with exposure to an Agile project-based environment.
  • Good problem solver and critical thinker that operates in an organized manner.
  • Experience with loyalty campaigns (an asset).
  • Experience with marketing, or digital (web/app) spaces (an asset).
  • In-depth knowledge of project and software development methodologies/techniques – including Agile (Scrum) and Waterfall.
  • Strong analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid presentation, facilitation, interview, and workshop skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects at the same time and under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, overcome confusion, and simplify complex situations.
  • Able to mitigate unexpected change and be able to communicate impacts as well as possible options to recover.
