About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Insurance Lending Sales team as a Director, Insurance Lending Sales. As a key member of our sales management team, you will be responsible for driving sales and persistency in the insurance lending market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and drive business growth.
  • Lead and manage a high-performing sales team, providing coaching, guidance, and development opportunities to ensure individual and team success.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Distribution Partners, identifying mutually beneficial business opportunities and promoting our insurance lending and wealth solutions products.
  • Monitor sales results and activity, identifying opportunities for growth and directing the sales team to develop new markets and expand existing ones.
  • Promote cross-channel sales opportunities and foster a strong referral culture within the team.
  • Oversee the implementation of strategic account management principles and territory rotation, ensuring a structured approach to sales and customer engagement.
  • Collaborate with peers and Senior Management to define and evolve strategic account management principles, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Manage recruiting and hiring, ensuring a strong pool of candidates through ongoing relationship management.
  • As a member of the sales management team, contribute to the development of a sales vision to maximize sales and persistency, and provide strategic direction to the team.
  • Solicit market intelligence from sales team members and collaborate with Senior Management to identify meaningful data for marketing strategy and product development.
  • Identify and report potential compliance risk issues that may arise through regular contact with Distribution Partners.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education.
  • 10+ years of face-to-face sales experience, with 5+ years in the insurance industry.
  • 5+ years of sales management, coaching, and leadership experience.
  • Deep understanding of different insurance lending products and life insurance.
  • Established network in the financial services industry, specifically in the insurance/MGA channel.
  • Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Solid understanding of strategic account management principles.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of insurance industry and insurance-related products, financial and estate planning, and insurance distribution channels.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial planning tools.
  • Excellent understanding of regulatory and compliance issues.
