Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Insurance Lending Sales Director to lead our sales team and drive business growth in the insurance lending market. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales management, coaching, and leadership, with a deep understanding of insurance lending products and life insurance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a sales team to achieve sales and persistency goals
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive business growth in the insurance lending market
  • Build and maintain relationships with key distribution partners and identify new business opportunities
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify personal and career development goals and create development plans
  • Establish sales targets and drive sales and persistency in the insurance lending market
  • Monitor sales results and activity and direct sales team members to develop new markets and expand existing ones
  • Promote cross-channel sales opportunities and foster a strong referral culture
  • Oversee the implementation of strategic account management and territory rotation
  • Collaborate with peers and senior management to define and evolve strategic account management principles
  • Manage recruiting and hiring to ensure a strong pool of candidates
  • Attend industry events and represent Equitable Bank in the wealth and insurance communities
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education
  • 10+ years of face-to-face sales experience with 5+ years in the insurance industry
  • 5+ years of sales management, coaching, and leadership experience
  • Deep understanding of insurance lending products and life insurance
  • Established network in the financial services industry, specifically in the insurance/MGA channel
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Solid understanding of strategic account management principles
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of insurance industry and insurance-related products, financial and estate planning, and insurance distribution channels
  • In-depth knowledge of financial planning tools
  • Excellent understanding of regulatory and compliance issues
