Job Title: Senior Underwriter, Middle Market Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Underwriter, Middle Market Specialist to join our team at XL CATLIN. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will be responsible for underwriting and managing a portfolio of middle market insurance policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Underwrite and manage a portfolio of middle market insurance policies, ensuring that all policies are accurately priced and that risks are properly assessed.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that their needs are met.
  • Collaborate with other underwriters and members of the underwriting team to share knowledge and best practices, and to ensure that all policies are underwritten in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and make recommendations for new products and services that can be offered to clients.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of underwriting policies and procedures, and ensure that all underwriting activities are conducted in accordance with company guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in underwriting and managing middle market insurance policies.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance products and services, and the ability to communicate complex information to clients and brokers.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and brokers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risks and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, and to contribute to the development and implementation of underwriting policies and procedures.
