Job Title: Senior Underwriter, Middle Market

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Underwriter to join our Middle Market team. As a Senior Underwriter, you will be responsible for underwriting new and renewal business, developing and maintaining broker relationships, and supporting the growth of our Middle Market business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Underwrite new and renewal business, ensuring profitable premium and rate goals are met.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers, providing excellent customer service and support.
  • Collaborate with the underwriting team to achieve business objectives and goals.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, applying this knowledge to underwriting decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in underwriting, preferably in the Middle Market segment.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance products and services, particularly in the Canadian market.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with brokers and clients.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed underwriting decisions.
