Role Overview:

The Energy Transition Geophysics Expert will be a key member of our technical team, supporting the Manager of Energy Transition. This role will be responsible for maintaining high-quality deliverables and ensuring customer satisfaction across all projects in Western Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Liaison: Serve as the primary technical liaison with clients, fostering strong relationships and ensuring ongoing satisfaction and retention.
  • Quality Control and Guidance: Provide expert quality control (QC) and technical guidance to the team.
  • Project Work: Lead by example, completing project work with the highest quality standards.
  • Feature Development: Innovate and develop new features for our Energy Transition clients in collaboration with the Software and Engineering departments.
  • Data Integration: Integrate processing and analysis across various data types, including surface, downhole, fiber, EM arrays, and more.
  • Advanced Analysis: Conduct advanced analyses of earthquake and microseismic data, applying techniques such as SMTI, velocity models, and hazard analysis.
  • Procedure Development: Establish and maintain standard procedures for Energy Transition projects in Western Canada.
  • Business Development: Engage in business development activities to generate new opportunities and expand our client base.
  • Team Training: Train and mentor team members, sharing your knowledge and expertise.
  • Flexibility: Be prepared for a flexible schedule, including occasional weekend work and travel to company or client sites.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Geophysics, Earth Sciences, or a related field.
  • Professional Designation: Professional designation (P. Eng., P. Geo, or equivalent) is an asset.
  • Licensing: Eligibility for licensing with APEGA as a P.Geo.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Leadership Experience: Leadership experience will be considered a strong asset.
