Join Our Team: Energy Transition Geophysical Specialist

Location: Western Canada

About the Role: As a Geophysical Specialist focused on Energy Transition, you will play a crucial role within our technical team, collaborating closely with the Manager of Energy Transition. Your specialized knowledge will be essential in delivering high-quality outputs and ensuring client satisfaction across all initiatives in Western Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients, building strong relationships to ensure ongoing satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Deliver expert quality assurance (QA) and technical support to the team.
  • Set a standard of excellence by completing project tasks with the utmost quality.
  • Innovate and create new features for our Energy Transition clientele in partnership with the Software and Engineering teams.
  • Integrate processing and analysis across diverse data types, including surface, downhole, fiber, EM arrays, and others.
  • Perform advanced analyses of seismic and microseismic data, utilizing techniques such as SMTI, velocity models, and risk assessment.
  • Develop and uphold standard operating procedures for Energy Transition projects in Western Canada.
  • Participate in business development efforts to cultivate new opportunities and broaden our client network.
  • Mentor and train team members, sharing your expertise and insights.
  • Be adaptable to a flexible schedule, which may include occasional weekend work and travel to company or client locations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Geophysics, Earth Sciences, or a related discipline.
  • Professional designation (P. Eng., P. Geo, or equivalent) is advantageous.
  • Eligibility for licensing with APEGA as a P.Geo.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a relevant field.
  • Leadership experience is considered a significant asset.
