About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to join our team at Amazon Development Centre Canada ULC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing data-driven solutions to drive business growth and improve customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with business stakeholders to formulate business problems and provide recommendations on approach
  • Understand customer behavior to personalize customer experience, build recommendation engines, and conduct customer lifecycle analysis
  • Conduct large-scale A/B testing and offline/online experiments to evaluate performance of various programs and drive product improvements
  • Process large-scale datasets using distributed computing platforms to build models, mine insights from data, and prototype models that optimize towards various business goals and metrics
  • Interact with cross-functional teams and make business recommendations, including cost-benefit analysis, forecasting, and experiment analysis
  • Drive product roadmap and prioritization of science projects with PMs to improve customer experience

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, data science, business analytics, economics, finance, engineering, or computer science
  • 5+ years of data scientist or similar role involving data extraction, analysis, statistical modeling, and communication experience
  • 3+ years of data visualization experience using AWS QuickSight, Tableau, R Shiny, etc.
