EOI Site Specialty Lead

Nova Scotia Health is seeking a Site Specialty Lead for Hospitalists at St. Martha's Regional Hospital in the Eastern Zone. The successful candidate will report to the Department Head of Family Medicine and/or the Regional Site Lead and be responsible for the delivery of hospitalist clinical services at the hospital.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure medical staff compliance with NSH bylaws and regulations
- Represent department medical staff interests at the Zone Executive Director and/or Zone Department Head level
- Lead Emergency Preparedness activities as Physician Lead
- Manage site overcapacity issues from a departmental perspective
- Maintain service continuity through department scheduling practices
- Chair regular department meetings and attend other committee meetings as required
- Participate in monitoring standards, quality, and resource utilization of the department
- Participate in clinical services planning for the department
- Participate in respectful workplace responsibilities and recruitment/retention activities
- Participate in new hire and onboarding processes
- Lead incident review process for the site in liaison with Quality and Patient Safety representatives
- MD licensed in Nova Scotia and privileged with Nova Scotia Health
- Evidence of past and ongoing leadership training
