Liquor Store Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Liquor Store Supervisor to join our team at Liquor Planet Morinville. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our liquor store, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our store is always well-stocked and organized.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assign sales workers to duties and ensure that they are properly trained and equipped to provide excellent customer service.
  • Hire and train or arrange for training of staff to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Authorize payments by cheque and ensure that all financial transactions are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Order merchandise and ensure that it is properly received and stored.
  • Authorize return of merchandise and ensure that all returns are processed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Establish work schedules and ensure that all employees are aware of their duties and responsibilities.
  • Sell merchandise and provide excellent customer service to ensure that our customers are satisfied with their purchases.
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters to ensure that our store is operating efficiently and effectively.
  • Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages, in a timely and professional manner.
  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure that our store is always well-stocked and organized.
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers to ensure that our store is operating efficiently and effectively.

Requirements:

  • 3-4 years of experience in a retail or liquor store environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Working Conditions:

  • 30-40 hours per week.
  • Permanent position.
  • English is the primary language of communication.
