Liquor Store Supervisor Job Description

Liquor Planet Morinville is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Liquor Store Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our liquor store, ensuring a positive customer experience, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assign Sales Workers to Duties: Effectively manage and allocate tasks to sales staff to ensure efficient store operations.
  • Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, train, and develop a team of sales professionals who provide exceptional customer service.
  • Authorize Payments and Merchandise Returns: Process payments and returns in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Order and Manage Inventory: Coordinate the receipt and storage of merchandise, ensuring accurate inventory levels and minimizing stockouts.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules to meet business needs and ensure adequate staffing.
  • Prepare Sales Reports: Analyze sales data and prepare reports to inform business decisions.
  • Resolve Customer Issues: Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Supervise and Coordinate Staff: Lead and motivate a team of sales professionals to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (High) School Graduation Certificate: A minimum of a secondary school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 1-2 Years of Experience: A minimum of 1-2 years of retail experience, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.
  • Accurate and Reliable: A high level of accuracy and reliability is required to perform tasks efficiently and effectively.
Working Conditions:
  • Permanent Position: This is a permanent, full-time position with a regular schedule.
  • English Language: Fluency in English is required for effective communication with customers and colleagues.
  • Hours of Work: The typical workweek is 30-40 hours, with occasional overtime as required.
