Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Accountant to join our team at EllisDon. As a Project Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial success of our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze project-related contracts and subcontractor documentation to ensure alignment with contract terms and conditions.
- Collect, reconcile, and process project-related subcontractor payments, general expenditures, internal hourly payroll costing allocations, and other financial transactions in a timely and accurate manner.
- Prepare and assemble client billing packages in accordance with approval procedures and processes to ensure timely client billings and payments.
- Maintain accurate and timely cash flow data, comparing current and forecasted cash flow to projected cash flow assumed in financial models.
- Assist the Project Manager in preparing monthly reports for owner/consultant and internal reporting.
Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration/Finance, or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
- 3-6 years of relevant accounting experience, or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
- Ability to identify financial situations and produce logical solutions to support a project team/business area.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and on-site at project locations.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines.
- Related experience working in a construction environment is an asset.
