Financial Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Financial Accountant to join our team at Sheppard & Associates Ltd.
About the Role- Prepare financial statements, general ledgers, and other accounting reports to ensure accurate and timely submissions.
- Maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
- Reconcile accounts to prevent discrepancies and ensure financial accuracy.
- Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll: Ensure accurate and timely payment of employee salaries and benefits.
- Keep financial records: Maintain up-to-date and accurate financial records, including general ledgers and financial statements.
- Post journal entries: Accurately record and post journal entries to ensure financial accuracy.
- Prepare statistical, financial, and accounting reports: Generate regular reports to provide insights into financial performance and help inform business decisions.
- Reconcile accounts: Regularly reconcile accounts to prevent discrepancies and ensure financial accuracy.
- Education: College diploma or CEGEP certificate in a related field (e.g., accounting, finance).
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related field.
- Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience.
- Hours: 35 hours per week.
- Work Term: Permanent position.
- Work Language: English.
