Job Requirements:

  1. Languages: English
  2. Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  3. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
  4. Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work under pressure, Attention to detail
  5. Personal Suitability: Effective interpersonal skills, Dependability, Team player, Reliability, Accurate, Organized

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Record and maintain financial data, and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
  2. Post journal entries, reconcile accounts, prepare trial balance of books, maintain general ledgers, and prepare financial statements.
  3. Calculate and prepare cheques for payrolls and for utility, tax, and other bills.
  4. Complete and submit tax remittance forms, workers' compensation forms, pension contribution forms, and other government documents.
  5. Prepare tax returns and perform other personal bookkeeping services.
  6. Prepare other statistical, financial, and accounting reports.
