Job Summary

We are seeking a Support Professional to join our team at Aldaview Services. The successful candidate will provide support and assistance to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, promoting their independence and autonomy.

The ideal candidate will have a post-secondary degree or diploma in the social services field, or equivalent experience working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. A G license is required for driving residents' appointments and activities.

Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support and assistance to clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Promote community involvement and participation
  • Develop and implement personalized plans to support client goals and objectives
  • Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to ensure high-quality care and support
Requirements
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in the social services field (or equivalent experience)
  • G license required for driving residents' appointments and activities
  • Experience working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (an asset)
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to advocate for others
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to take initiative
