About the Position
We are seeking an experienced Research Management Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Merit Review process, you will provide comprehensive management of merit-review processes for competitions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide analysis and advice concerning merit review, program administration, policy questions, planning, and accountability to support decision-making on merit review processes, corporate priorities, and programs' objectives.
- Represent the views and policies of the division and of the granting agency in interactions with a wide audience, including applicants, selection committees, administrators, as well as other stakeholders and their associations.
- Experience in research in a university, college, government, or not-for-profit organization or similar setting.
- Experience in research and data analysis, providing recommendations to management, and supervising staff.
- Knowledge of the academic environment and research community, project management principles, and other levels of government and sectors that may impact programs, projects, and activities of the federal granting agencies.

- Effective interpersonal skills, autonomy, flexibility, initiative, and judgment.
Requirements
- An undergraduate degree from a recognized university.
- A graduate degree is an asset.
- Foreign Credential Validation against Canadian Standards.
