Job Summary

The Field Service Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and optimization of hardware, software, and networking products and configurations at customer sites. This role requires strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a customer-centric approach to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct on-site customer visits to perform system installation, maintenance, and ongoing support of equipment.
  • Provide operator training and ongoing support for customers to ensure they are proficient in using the installed products.
  • Ensure timely completion of service reports, expense reports, and weekly time reports to maintain accurate records.
  • Track preventive maintenance and upgrade requirements for assigned territory/customer to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Act as a customer liaison to resolve customer issues and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Inform management of issues affecting personal/product performance, job duties, and SOP while offering suggested improvements and innovation to enhance service engagements.
  • Drive revenue growth initiatives as assigned by management to meet business objectives.
  • Build and foster strong relationships with sales partners and customers to promote business growth and loyalty.
  • Educate customers on the latest corporate initiatives and products to stay up-to-date with industry trends.
  • Maintain company assets in accordance with company guidelines to ensure compliance and efficiency.
Requirements
  • A+ Certification or equivalent experience servicing PC hardware and software.
  • Associates Degree or Certification in electrical or mechanical engineering, technical trade school studies, or equivalent experience.
  • Three or more years of related field service experience.
  • Previous experience servicing similar equipment and managing a territory.
  • Previous experience in the Graphic Arts industry would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of Electro-photography/Digital Printing and basic understanding of Color Theory.
  • Solid understanding of electro-mechanical devices and complex electro-optic and robotic high-tech equipment.
Work Environment

The Field Service Technician will work in a fast-paced environment, requiring flexibility and adaptability to meet customer needs. The role involves on-call, after-hours support, and travel for short- and long-term assignments, as required. The individual must be willing to work different shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and be available for international travel. A valid driver's license, passport, and other designated information are required.
