Job Title: Principal Estimator

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Estimator to join our team at Whitemud Ironworks Limited.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing estimates of labour and/or material costs, creating and submitting estimate reports, quote sheets, and bids forms, and advising on tendering procedures.

Key responsibilities include analyzing tenders and recommending awards, monitoring and adjusting contract expenditures, and preparing and maintaining a directory of supplies and trade contractors.

The Principal Estimator will also liaise, consult, and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.

Requirements
  • Membership in the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors
  • Specialized environmental skills and knowledge
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field
  • Permanent employment with 40 hours per week
  • Language of work: English
