Job Title: Principal Estimator

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Estimator to join our team at Whitemud Ironworks Limited. As a key member of our estimating department, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed estimates of labour and material costs for our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs for construction projects
  • Create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bid forms
  • Advise on tendering procedures and analyze tenders to recommend awards
  • Monitor and adjust contract expenditures to ensure project profitability
  • Liaise with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors to communicate changes and adjustments to cost estimates
Requirements:
  • Membership in the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors
  • Specialized environmental skills and knowledge
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in estimating or a related field
Work Environment:
