Job Title: Principal Estimator

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Estimator to join our team at Whitemud Ironworks Limited. As a key member of our estimating department, you will play a critical role in preparing accurate and detailed estimates of labour and material costs for our projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bid forms to clients and stakeholders.
  • Analyze tenders and recommend awards to ensure the best value for our company.
  • Monitor and adjust contract expenditures to ensure projects are completed within budget.
  • Liaise with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Develop and maintain a directory of suppliers and trade contractors to support our estimating efforts.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in estimating or a related field.
  • Membership in the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors.
  • Specialized environmental skills and knowledge.
Work Environment:
  • Work under pressure to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality estimates.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and precision in estimates.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 40 hours per week.
