About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Coordinator to join our team at Hunter Express Ltd. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and implementation of our human resources policies and programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Policy Development and Implementation

Develop, implement, and evaluate human resources policies and programs to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.

Employee Relations

Advise managers and employees on the interpretation of human resources policies, benefit programs, and collective agreements to promote a positive and inclusive work environment.

Conflict Resolution

Mediate labour disputes and grievances in a fair and impartial manner to resolve issues efficiently.

Research and Analysis

Research and prepare occupational classifications, job descriptions, and salary scales to ensure accuracy and fairness.

Program Administration

Administer benefit employment equity and other human resources programs to ensure compliance and effectiveness.

Performance Management

Co-ordinate employee performance and appraisal programs to support employee growth and development.

Research and Recommendations

Research employee benefits and health and safety practices and recommend changes to improve employee well-being and productivity.

Staff Management

Hire, train, and supervise staff to ensure a high-performing team.

Negotiations

Negotiate collective agreements on behalf of employers or workers to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.

Requirements
  • Education

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience

2 years to less than 3 years of experience in human resources, preferably in a similar role.

Skills

Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.

Computer and Technology

Proficient in MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines and a large workload.

Personal Suitability

Excellent judgement, organized, team player, client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, reliability, and values and ethics.
