About the Role

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist to join our team at SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA. As a key member of our Finance Department, you will play a crucial role in providing financial analysis and planning support to our business units.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Analysis:
  • Conduct thorough financial analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial models and reports.
Financial Planning:
  • Support the development of financial plans and forecasts for our business units.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and ensure accuracy.
Financial Reporting:
  • Assist in the preparation of regular financial reports, including variance analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Contribute to the creation of insightful presentations for senior management and other stakeholders.
Process Improvement:
  • Participate in the enhancement of financial processes and tools to drive efficiency and accuracy.
  • Suggest and implement improvements to financial reporting formats and data collection methods.
Requirements

Qualifications:

5 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.

Skills and Qualifications:

Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.

Detail-oriented and analytical mindset, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Knowledge of banking industry regulations and financial reporting standards is a plus.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis using Excel and other relevant tools.

Proficient Microsoft Office skills with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint.

Knowledge of BI tools a plus (PowerBI, Tableau).

Experience with financial systems and software is advantageous (Essbase and Cognos).

Education:

Bachelor's Degree (Business, Finance or Economics preferred).

Language:

Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is a requirement as the person in this position will need to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States.
