We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist to join our team at SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA. Key Responsibilities- Daily Financial Analysis:
- Consolidate and communicate daily financial results to senior management
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and ensure accuracy
- Risk Management and Analysis:
- Track and analyze risk variances against budgets and forecasts
- Collaborate with risk management teams to gather risk-related data and ensure accuracy
- Financial Reporting:
- Assist in the preparation of regular financial reports, including variance analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Contribute to the creation of insightful presentations for senior management and other stakeholders
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Support the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes
- Work closely with department heads to gather inputs and assumptions for financial projections
- Data Integrity and Analysis:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial data in relevant systems
- Conduct thorough data analysis to identify discrepancies, trends, and opportunities
- Ad Hoc Analysis:
- Undertake ad hoc financial analysis projects to provide insights into specific business decisions
- Collaborate with the FP&A team to develop financial models for scenario planning
- Process Improvement:
- Participate in the enhancement of financial planning and analysis processes and tools to drive efficiency and accuracy
- Suggest and implement improvements to reporting formats and data collection methods
- Experience: 5 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within the banking or financial services industry
- Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner
- Detail-oriented and analytical mindset, with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Knowledge of banking industry regulations and financial reporting standards is a plus
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis using Excel and other relevant tools
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of BI tools a plus (PowerBI, Tableau)
- Experience with financial systems and software is advantageous (Essbase and Cognos)
- Education: Bachelor's Degree (Business, Finance or Economics preferred)
Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is a requirement as the person in this position will need to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States.
