About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist to join our team at SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA. As a key member of our Finance Department, you will play a crucial role in providing financial analysis and planning support to our business units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Daily Financial Analysis
    • Consolidate and communicate daily financial results to senior management
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business drivers and issues affecting each desk
  • RWA Monitoring and Analysis
    • Track and analyze RWA variances against budgets and forecasts
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather RWA-related data and ensure accuracy
    • Stay up-to-date on regulatory trends impacting RWA production and share knowledge with senior management
  • Financial Reporting
    • Assist in preparing regular financial reports, including variance analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs)
    • Contribute to creating insightful presentations for senior management and other stakeholders
  • Budgeting and Forecasting
    • Support the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes
    • Work closely with department heads to gather inputs and assumptions for financial projections
  • Data Integrity and Analysis
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial data in relevant systems
    • Conduct thorough data analysis to identify discrepancies, trends, and opportunities
  • Ad Hoc Analysis
    • Undertake ad hoc financial analysis projects to provide insights into specific business decisions
    • Collaborate with the FP&A team to develop financial models for scenario planning
  • Process Improvement
    • Participate in enhancing FP&A processes and tools to drive efficiency and accuracy
    • Suggest and implement improvements to reporting formats and data collection methods
Requirements
  • Experience
    • 5 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within the banking or financial services industry
  • Qualifications
    • Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner
    • Detail-oriented and analytical mindset, with a proactive approach to problem-solving
    • Knowledge of banking industry regulations and financial reporting standards is a plus
  • Technical Skills
    • Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis using Excel and other relevant tools
    • Proficient Microsoft Office skills with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
    • Knowledge of BI tools a plus (PowerBI, Tableau)
    • Experience with financial systems and software is advantageous (Essbase and Cognos)
  • Education
    • Bachelor's Degree (Business, Finance or Economics preferred)
Language

Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is a requirement as the person in this position will need to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States.
