About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist to join our team at SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA. Key Responsibilities
  • Daily Financial Analysis
    • Consolidate and communicate daily financial results to senior management
    • Liaise with stakeholders to understand business drivers and issues affecting each desk
  • Risk and Capital Management
    • Track and analyze RWA variances against budgets and forecasts
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather RWA-related data and ensure accuracy
    • Understand regulatory trends impacting RWA production and ensure proper knowledge sharing with senior management
  • Financial Reporting and Budgeting
    • Assist in the preparation of regular financial reports, including variance analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs)
    • Contribute to the creation of insightful presentations for senior management and other stakeholders
  • Financial Modeling and Analysis
    • Support the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes
    • Work closely with department heads to gather inputs and assumptions for financial projections
  • Data Integrity and Quality
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial data in relevant systems
    • Conduct thorough data analysis to identify discrepancies, trends, and opportunities
  • Process Improvement and Innovation
    • Participate in the enhancement of financial planning and analysis processes and tools to drive efficiency and accuracy
    • Suggest and implement improvements to reporting formats and data collection methods
Requirements
  • Experience
    • 5 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within the banking or financial services industry
  • Qualifications
    • Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner
    • Detail-oriented and analytical mindset, with a proactive approach to problem-solving
    • Knowledge of banking industry regulations and financial reporting standards is a plus
  • Technical Skills
    • Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis using Excel and other relevant tools
    • Proficient Microsoft Office skills with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
    • Knowledge of BI tools a plus (PowerBI, Tableau)
    • Experience with financial systems and software is advantageous (Essbase and Cognos)
  • Education
    • Bachelor's Degree (Business, Finance or Economics preferred)
Language

Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is a requirement as the person in this position will need to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States.
