We are currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst - Project Accounting to join our team of experienced professionals at our head office in Kitchener, ON.

Estimated Salary Range

$80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing project accounting functions, including opening and closing projects within our accounting system. They will work closely with project managers to prepare timely and accurate customer billings and supporting documentation.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience populating and analyzing financial and project data using Excel, as well as experience working with Microsoft Dynamics NAV software. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Math, Economics, or college equivalent is required.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform project accounting functions, including opening and closing projects within our accounting system.
  2. Work with project managers to prepare timely and accurate customer billings and supporting documentation.
  3. Engage in WIP process, including activities such as project forecast, WIP reconciliation, project cost transfers, change order updates, and adjustments.
  4. Assist in collection of receivables.
  5. Work with transactions involving multi-currency and tax considerations.
  6. Assist in responding to external audit requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Math, Economics, or college equivalent.
  2. Extensive experience populating and analyzing financial and project data using Excel.
  3. Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics NAV software.
  4. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Ability to multitask, manage deadlines, and work under pressure.
