Join Northern Motor Inn, a reputable hotel, motel, and resort, as a Culinary Team Lead. We are seeking an experienced individual to oversee the preparation and cooking of complete meals and individual dishes in our fast-paced kitchen environment.

Job Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for determining food portion sizes and costs, planning menus, and estimating food requirements. They will also supervise kitchen staff and helpers, maintain inventory and records, and clean kitchen and work areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine the size of food portions and costs
  • Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas
  • Order supplies and equipment
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas
  • Manage kitchen operations

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment

Benefits:

Northern Motor Inn offers a competitive salary of $40,000 - $50,000 per year, depending on experience. We also provide benefits, including public transportation and recognition as a recognized employer. The position requires a 30-hour workweek.
