About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Networking Software Developer to join our team at Canonical. As a key member of our software-defined networking team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cutting-edge networking solutions for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement software-defined networking solutions using open source technologies such as Linux, OVS, and OVN.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy networking solutions that meet the needs of our customers.
  • Contribute to the development of new features and functionality in our networking products.
  • Work with our engineering teams to identify and resolve technical issues and improve the overall quality of our products.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in networking technologies and apply this knowledge to improve our products and services.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in software-defined networking or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of Linux networking and open source technologies.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Golang, C/C++, Rust, or Python.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
