The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer/Scientist to join our team in the Design and Engineering Services department. As a key member of our Advanced Reactor Design section, you will be responsible for providing technical oversight and mentoring of more junior members of the Engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide input and direction to the development of conceptual/detailed equipment designs as they progress through a structured design process
  • Perform Mechanical engineering analysis and/or reactor core design and analysis
  • Interface with construction/procurement partners and utility stakeholders to provide practical and effective solutions as per requirements
  • Understand and assess client problems and determine appropriate means of solution
  • Interface effectively with other staff on multi-disciplinary projects
  • Stay current with developments within their field of expertise

Requirements

  • Mechanical or Nuclear engineering activities including: Piping and process systems design, including preparation of system design specification, flow diagrams, piping isometric drawings
  • Experience with Nuclear safety & licensing experience would be considered an asset
  • Working knowledge of relevant codes and standards including but not limited to CSA N285, ASME Section III, Section VIII and/or B31.1
  • A Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or Nuclear Engineering (or equivalent) is required
  • Candidates are expected to have or to pursue attainment of the P.Eng. designation
