Sales Director

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Manager to join our team at Hampton Inn by Hilton Port Hope. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving hotel revenue, profit, and customer satisfaction goals by securing new business and nurturing existing relationships.
The RoleThe Sales Manager will be responsible for:
- Achieving established room night, meeting room, and sales call quotas through proactive solicitation and qualification of existing and new business.
- Developing new customer partnerships and nurturing existing relationships to achieve personal and hotel revenue goals.
- Coordinating the execution of business with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of services.
- Securing meeting space contracts and accurately confirming all bookings, quotes, and negotiating rates.
- Assisting in booking and finalizing catering contracts and maintaining an up-to-date accurate client file, database, and tracking system.
- Researching markets to identify potential sources of business and increasing market share.
- Staying up-to-date with competitors and industry trends to maintain a competitive edge.
- Ensuring excellent lines of communication interdepartmentally and attending related tradeshows and sales trips as required.
- Conducting site tours for clients and participating in the weekly Manager on duty program.
We are looking for a self-motivated and driven individual with:
- Good understanding of hotel operations and a passion for the industry.
- Minimum of 2 years of Hotel Sales Manager experience, preferably with Hilton and Choice brand experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills, exceptional oral and written communication skills, and excellent selling, relationship building, and organizational skills.
- Ability to meet both short-term and long-term business goals and effective decision-making skills.
- Proven problem-solving skills and experience in using sales, catering, and PMS systems.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and ability to work flexible hours.
