Job Title: Executive Chef

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Tomas the Cook / Specklebellys pub. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of our menu items, ensuring high-quality standards are met, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and prepare menus, taking into account seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
  • Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training as needed
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen
  • Manage inventory and supplies, minimizing waste and optimizing costs
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and specials
  • Monitor kitchen operations, making adjustments as needed to ensure efficient service
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume kitchen
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures, with a focus on maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on providing excellent customer service
