Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Human Resources and Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team on a full-time contract basis in Calgary. The successful candidate will be responsible for various HR-related tasks, including recruitment, employee relations, and administration.

About Us

Phasor Engineering Inc. is a dynamic Alberta-based company specializing in engineering, design, and testing/commissioning of medium to high voltage electrical facilities. Our team is focused on providing cost-effective and efficient solutions to power system engineering projects.

Responsibilities
  • Review new or rehired employee information to ensure all documents are complete and compliant.
  • Enter new employee information into digital and hardcopy formats, creating new employee folders and records as needed.
  • File and sort employee files alphanumerically, verifying same employee (remove duplicates, move terminated employee files to inactive cabinet).
  • Arrange employee file contents by date.
  • Respond to HR-related questions in a timely manner.
  • Process termination forms, including terminating GWL benefits and MSP.
  • Process employment letters.
Recruitment and Onboarding
  • Assist in recruiting and staffing activities, including position requirements for posting, job advertising methods, screening, interviewing, and selection.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the interview process.
  • Respond to telephone inquiries, email, and website applications.
  • Assist in job fairs and participation with university co-op programs (travel may be included).
Employee Relations
  • Support the HR Team in implementing corporate Human Resources programs and policies based on research conducted on industry best practices and legislation.
  • Administer documentation such as letters of intent to employees, verification of employment letters, and change to benefits.
  • Act in a manner that demonstrates a desire to collaborate, share, and leverage best practices.
Qualifications
  • The successful candidate should be a third or fourth year student registered with a College or University in Canada.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and an extreme attention to detail, are essential.
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft office software suite of programs coupled with strong computer skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage a wide variety of issues simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical, risk assessment, and problem-solving skills.
Estimated Salary

$55,000 - $65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
