About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team at Justrite Safety Group. As a key member of our Operations team, you will be responsible for leading by example and ensuring a safe and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead safety culture at the facility, working closely with the EHS team to ensure compliance with all regulations and standards.
  • Assign daily work orders and job tasks to direct labor staff members, ensuring efficient production and quality control.
  • Monitor team members on site during production activities, ensuring compliance with operational standards, ethics, and safety procedures.
  • Implement and drive 5S methodology in each work cell, promoting a culture of efficiency and continuous improvement.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, providing clear instructions and procedures to follow.
  • Manage the production schedule, coordinating the processing of orders to meet on-time delivery schedules.
  • Ensure operational quality and cost objectives are met, while maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Conduct daily labor balancing and ensure labor time performance measures are accurately tracked and achieved.
  • Implement lean manufacturing techniques and assist in creating efficient work cells.
  • Support inventory and material management, working closely with purchasing and receiving to ensure materials are advanced planned for jobs.
  • Ensure all workers have proper safety gear and clothing before performing work.
  • Interview and assist with selecting new hires, and fill in on jobs when employees are absent.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience, with a minimum of 3 years of supervisory/management experience.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and 5S methodology.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and coach team members.
  • Demonstrated results meeting performance metrics, with a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a flexible team environment, with job rotation as needed.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Computer knowledge, including Microsoft suite.
