About the Job:

The Nurse Team Leader is responsible for coordinating Home Support Services by supervising Licensed Practical Nurses, Community Health Workers, and other unregulated team members. This includes overseeing the implementation of client care plans, providing training and evaluation of care provided by staff, and advocating for changes that improve client care.

In collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, the Nurse Team Leader performs assessments, makes nursing diagnoses, implements and provides personal and nursing care for clients in a community health setting.

The role operates in accordance with the competency guidelines and full scope of practice within the Standards of Practice as outlined by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM), and according to organizational policies, procedures, standards and unit specific protocols.

This is a casual opportunity with Interior Health. Casual employees are eligible to apply for internal postings, including permanent and temporary positions.

Shifts of work will be scheduled days and evenings; rotating from 06:30 to 14:30, 13:00 to 21:00, 14:00 to 22:00, 08:00 to 16:00 hours.
