We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist II to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a Medical Laboratory Technologist II, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality laboratory services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Obtain and prepare specimens for routine analysis
- Perform various routine Hematological, Microbiological, Biochemical and Immunohematological testing in accordance with Departmental Procedures
- Work under the general direction of the Chief Medical Technologist to ensure accurate and timely test results
- Collaborate with other laboratory staff to ensure smooth laboratory operations
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Graduate of an approved school of Medical Laboratory Technology and current Canadian Society of Medical Laboratory Science registration
- One year recent related experience
- Experience in all the above disciplines preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Ability to deal with others effectively
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
- Ability to organize work
- Ability to operate related equipment
