Job Summary

We are seeking a Medical Laboratory Assistant II to join our team at Kitimat General Hospital. As a Medical Laboratory Assistant II, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality laboratory services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collects samples from patients and prepares laboratory samples for analysis
  • Performs simple tests, such as urinalysis, under the supervision of the Chief Lab Technologist
  • Works effectively in a team environment to ensure efficient laboratory operations

Requirements
  • Grade 12
  • Successful completion of a recognized Lab Assistant training program
  • One (1) year's recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to deal with others effectively
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
  • Ability to organize work
  • Ability to operate related equipment
