About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Investment Consultant to join our team in Montreal. As a key member of our Defined Contribution team, you will play a critical role in providing investment services to institutional clients, including pension funds, endowments, and other institutional asset pools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis using proprietary tools to evaluate investment managers and portfolios.
  • Produce quarterly performance monitoring reports for clients, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Critically analyze investment markets, managers' investment styles, and portfolio characteristics to determine the impact of these factors on returns.
  • Support consultants in servicing existing clients and prospects, developing strong relationships and delivering exceptional client service.
  • Develop knowledge around financial wellness and ESG factors, staying up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
  • Communicate effectively with investment managers, record keepers, and custodians to gather and clarify client-specific data for reporting.
  • Develop the skills and expertise required to progress to a senior role, taking on increasingly complex responsibilities and contributing to the growth and success of our team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, actuarial studies, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in investment consulting, financial services, or a related field, preferably in an analyst capacity.
  • Solid knowledge of the institutional investment industry, including investment concepts and financial markets.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral, in English and French.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, coupled with analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task, work under tight deadlines, and demonstrate problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a high proficiency in Excel.
