Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Substance Use Clinician to join our team at Fraser Health. The successful candidate will provide client-centered care to individuals and families affected by mental illness and substance use disorders, with a focus on the South Asian community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide intake, screening, and assessment services to clients
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including referrals to community resources and services
  • Provide counseling, education, and support to clients and their families
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
  • Participate in local committees and case conferences to improve service delivery
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in a relevant field, such as Counselling Psychology or Social Work
  • Two years of experience working with clients and families affected by mental illness and substance use disorders
  • Eligibility for registration with a relevant professional association
  • Valid B.C. Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for work-related purposes
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to communicate effectively in Punjabi/Hindi and English
  • Demonstrated knowledge of harm reduction, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented approaches
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant Acts and regulations
