We are seeking a highly skilled Substance Use Clinician to join our team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our Mental Health and Substance Use Services team, you will provide comprehensive care to individuals and families affected by substance use and mental health disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Provide initial screening, intake, and assessment of clients to determine their needs and develop treatment plans.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide individual and group therapy, case management, and support services to clients and their families.
- Develop and implement recovery-oriented treatment plans, including referrals to community resources and services.
- Provide education and support to clients and families on mental health and substance use issues, relapse prevention, and recovery strategies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including progress notes and reports.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical protocols and procedures.
- Master's degree in a relevant field, such as Counselling Psychology or Social Work.
- Two years of recent experience working with clients and families affected by substance use and mental health disorders.
- Eligibility for registration with a relevant professional association.
- Valid B.C. Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for work-related purposes.
- Demonstrated knowledge of harm reduction, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented approaches.
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant Acts, regulations, and policies.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations and interdisciplinary teams.
