We are seeking an experienced Capital Planner and Project Coordinator to join our team in Iqaluit, Nunavut.
Job Summary
This is a challenging opportunity for a skilled professional to oversee capital budgets and coordinate projects within the Department of Justice. The successful candidate will work closely with program and technical personnel, as well as the public, to develop effective capital planning, programming, and management systems.
Responsibilities
- Oversight of capital budgets ranging from $1 million to $50 million
- Development of effective capital planning, programming, and management systems
- Collaboration with program and technical personnel, as well as the public
- Regular community visits and consultations
- Travel and on-going public meetings with stakeholders
- Negotiations and analytical assessment of current and proposed projects with the Department of Community and Government Services
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will typically require:
- A recognized university degree in architecture, commerce, project management, engineering, or a related field
- At least two years' experience in capital planning or a related field
- Experience in managing capital budget projects
What We Offer
The Government of Nunavut offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including:
- $97,372 to $110,510 per year, 37.5 hours/week
- Northern Allowance: $16,008 per year
