Key Responsibilities:

  • Support individuals with learning disabilities in their daily lives, promoting independence and autonomy.
  • Develop and implement personalized care plans to meet the unique needs of each individual.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care and support.
  • Provide physical and emotional support to individuals with learning disabilities, including assistance with daily living tasks and activities.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment, promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 12 months of experience working with individuals with learning disabilities in the UK.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with individuals, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
  • Knowledge of learning disability care principles and practices, including person-centered care and positive behavioral support.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
