Job Summary

The Building Operations Technician Program is seeking a skilled facilitator to develop and manage the program's day-to-day operations. This includes curriculum development, instructional materials preparation, and learner support.

Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Develop and implement program curriculum and instructional materials.
  • Deliver lesson plans and activities, and assess student work.
  • Coordinate subject matter instruction and guest lectures with industry partners.
  • Apply and maintain standards of quality operating methods and procedures.
  • Evaluate and assess student progress and discuss results with students and program management.
  • Prepare and implement remedial programs for students requiring extra help.
  • Participate in staff meetings and educational conferences.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education and/or relevant training and experience.
  • Industry experience.
  • Valid Manitoba driver's license (access to a reliable vehicle is considered an asset).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proven ability and experience in relating to and working with the Indigenous community.
  • Ability to work effectively with participants, co-workers, and supervisors.
  • Strong project management skills, including creating, planning, and implementing program outcomes.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experienced in facilitating workshops and training.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Competent in MS-Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and internet use.
