Job Summary: NAV CANADA is seeking a skilled Construction Infrastructure Specialist to provide site support and coordination in the field to execute construction/Facilities upgrades projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing on-site coordination of construction activities, acting as a liaison between NAV CANADA, contractors, local airport authorities, and external customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with contract documents, Federal, provincial, and municipal regulations, and NC policy and procedures.
  • Monitor construction progress to scope, schedule, and budget, and address/reports issues or concerns.
  • Develop or facilitate the development of supporting documentation, such as Safety Management Plans (SMP's) and Hazard Identification and Risk Assessments (HIRA).
  • Source, negotiate, and retain contractors for small contracts up to $12,000 in value and/or larger contracts exceeding $12,000 in value as dictated by the FIR Construction Manager.

Requirements:

  • College Technology diploma in (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil) or equivalent technical experience.
  • Associate's Certificate in Project Management is an asset.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with education relating to project management.
