Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and culturally responsive Indigenous Cultural Guide to join our team at Northern Lights College.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and planning cultural events and activities, working closely with Indigenous Student Services Manager and Indigenous Student Navigators to support Indigenization and reconciliation learning opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and plan cultural events and activities
  • Work with Indigenous Student Services Manager and Indigenous Student Navigators to support Indigenization and reconciliation learning opportunities
  • Engage students through cultural teachings and contextual Indigenous learning
  • Support both Fort St. John and Dawson Creek campuses

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 completion
  • Two years of relevant post-secondary education
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience working with Indigenous students, communities, and Elders
  • Demonstrated experience and cultural training to lead and support traditional and contemporary Indigenous art and activities
