Indigenous Language Educator

**Job Opportunity:**
We are seeking a qualified Indigenous Language Educator to join our team at Echo Dene School. As a certified teacher, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of programs and support the language and cultural heritage of our students in an inclusive environment.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Teach Indigenous language and culture to students in a JK-K through grade 12 school
- Develop and implement curriculum that supports the language and cultural heritage of our students
- Engage with students and their parents in multi-grade environments
- Collaborate with colleagues to promote and organize culturally appropriate activities
**Requirements:**
- Northwest Territories Professional Teaching Certificate
- Proficiency in speaking the Dene Yatie language
- Ability to effectively engage with students and their parents in multi-grade environments
- Direct experience with the Northwest Territories curricula is preferred
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Familiarity with the "Our Languages Curriculum"
- Experience in promoting and organizing culturally appropriate activities
- Ability to teach additional courses from JK-12
