Senior Human Resources Advisor

Rise Air is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Human Resources Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and implementation of our human resources strategies, programs, and services.
Key Responsibilities:- Recruitment and Retention:
- Develop position descriptions and ensure timely review and update.
- Collaborate with the Director and Advisor to ensure compliance with federal legislation pertaining to employment equity programs, data collection, and reporting.
- Participate in the recruitment of new hires, including screening, interviewing, testing, selection, offer, and onboarding.
- Implement and maintain a comprehensive performance assessment program, including probationary assessment, individual performance empowerment, and enhancement plans, as well as succession planning frameworks.
- Design and conduct orientation modules and other workshops through internal and external service partners to enhance organizational knowledge and personal well-being of employees.
- Provide support to employees and managers related to leaves, resignations, retirements, and terminations of employment, and oversee/administer related processes.
- Monitor duty to accommodate and return-to-work processes.
- Develop and implement a workforce recruitment strategy that focuses on attracting qualified Indigenous applicants and develop relationships with external agencies to make recommendations with respect to design, development, and implementation of jointly sponsored programs.
- Monitor compliance with federal legislation pertaining to employment equity programs, data collection, and reporting.
- Research and coordinate on-the-job training subsidies and government grants.
- Total Compensation:
- Administer a job evaluation process and rationale for placement of jobs for salary purposes.
- Analyze changes to job descriptions to determine whether reassessment of the position is appropriate and report to the Director and CHRO with respect to requests for reassessment.
- Lead the development and provision of employee total compensation statements.
- Conduct and participate in total compensation surveys.
- Employee and Labour Relations:
- Conduct regular research to ensure human resources policies, guidelines, and processes/practices comply with the Canada Labour Code, the Canadian Human Rights Act, The Saskatchewan Workers' Compensation Act, 2013, and other relevant legislation and regulations.
- Analyze and anticipate changes to legislation and advise human resources management on needed actions.
- Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of an employee recognition and engagement program.
- Evaluate employee engagement surveys regularly either through a third party or spot surveys.
- Support collective bargaining processes and assist in providing information to direct supervisors on legislative requirements and effective human resource practices.
- Reporting and Analytics:
- Provide analytical support and data analysis on trends and projects.
- Develop standard and ad hoc reports, templates, and dashboards that support required metrics.
- Track trends and developments in assigned functional areas.
- Ensure the appropriate population of the employee Intranet or other electronic means of providing information to employees.
- Conduct and analyze studies and surveys relating to a variety of human resources activities.
- Gather and analyze information on salary, benefits, and human resource practices as required.
- Monitor staff scheduling to ensure appropriate documentation is maintained for averaging permits, modified work arrangements, etc., and that the organization is compliant with applicable legislation.
- Health and Safety:
- In compliance with human resources practice, policies, guidelines, and processes, provide support to effectively manage the health, safety, and security of all employees, and to create a respectful and harassment-free workplace.
- Act as human resources lead and liaise with all company occupational health and safety committees.
