Weir Marine Engineering, a leading provider of marine and industrial solutions, is seeking an experienced Radio Frequency (RF) Communications Specialist to join our team in Ottawa, ON or Halifax, NS.
About the RoleThis exciting opportunity involves providing technical expertise related to external communications, including LF/MF/HF transmitters, receivers, and antenna systems. You will advise on high-level logical and physical communications systems topology and architecture views.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical expertise on RF ionospheric propagation, antenna design, simulation, analysis, modeling, and testing.
- Design, simulate, and test radio systems and amplifiers.
- Utilize various RF tools and post-processing software.
- Develop electrical schematic diagrams, mechanical drawings, and system block diagrams.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
- 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of project management principles.
- Excellent English writing skills.
Weir Marine Engineering offers a competitive compensation package, including:
- Base salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
