Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Services Manager to join our team at Seasons Retirement Communities. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our retirement community, ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the maintenance of the community, including preventive, scheduled, and unplanned tasks.
  • Oversee housekeeping practices, including scheduling and maintaining housekeeping routines and reordering cleaning supplies as needed.
  • Respond to resident requests and act as the main point of contact for resident inquiries.
  • Coordinate with outside service vendors, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing services.
  • Conduct safety audits and participate in Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) meetings.
  • Schedule tasks and vendors for compliance-related tasks, such as fire safety and kitchen hood cleaning.

Requirements:

  • Covid-19 vaccination is mandatory.
  • Experience in maintenance-related workplaces or jobs, including renovations and trade-related work.
  • Strong skills in painting, cleaning, and repairing minor items.
  • Housekeeping experience is considered an asset.
  • Experience with scheduling and budgeting for team members is considered an asset.
  • Successful completion of a Fire Safety Training course or JHSC Training is considered an asset.
  • Class G/Class 5 driver's license with a clear driver's abstract (applicable to Ontario/Alberta).
  • Current CPR & First Aid Certification.
  • Certification from a program in general maintenance is an asset.
