Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Palliative Care Nurse Consultant to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a key member of our Hospice Palliative Care Consultation Team, you will work collaboratively with healthcare providers to provide expert guidance and support in palliative care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish relationships with key stakeholders in the region to promote palliative care services
  • Develop and implement education programs to build capacity in palliative care across the continuum of care
  • Provide consultative services on complex pain, symptom, and psychosocial issues for patients registered with our HPC Program
  • Lead the development of policies, procedures, and education needs related to our HPC Program
Requirements
  • Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant
  • Minimum two years of full-time experience in palliative care nursing with a focus on pain and symptom management
  • Certificate of specialized training in palliative care or post-basic palliative care nursing courses
  • Two years of demonstrated teaching experience for a range of healthcare providers
